What is Modern Quilting? Panel Discussion

Do you struggle before every STLMQG meeting, trying to decide if the item you want to bring
to Show & Tell can be classified as modern quilting?

Are you puzzled when members throw around names like Anna Maria Horner, Tula Pink,

Do you leave the STLMQG meetings excited; but feel like you are missing out on something?

Do you have tons of questions about modern quilting?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then do we have an event for you.
What is Modern Quilting? Panel Discussion

I am happy to tell you that our panelist have been chosen and are
all super-excited to be a part of this event.

Laura
Juli Ann
Sally

Here are some of the questions that we will be asking our panelists:
  • What is your definition of Modern Quilting?
  • What do you like about this style and what does it mean to your creativity?
  • How were you introduced to this style?
  • Where to you find inspiration?
  • What are some of your favorite fabric Designers/Collections?
  • What is your definition of Traditional Quilting?
  • What are the differences you see between a Traditional and Modern block/quilt/fabric?
Please make sure that if you have a question about modern quilting you attend February's meeting, so you get the answers you need.  Our panelists will also be bringing examples of quilts, quilted items and fabrics with them to help better illustrate this style.
