The STLMQG welcomes Heather Jones to St. Louis

The STLMQG is so excited to be bringing Heather Jones to St. Louis this June and is pleased to extend an invitation to her trunk show/lecture and workshops to the entire St. Louis-area quilting community.
Heather Jones is an artist, designer, and educator whose work questions and pushes traditional conceptions of both quilt making and painting. She is best known for using architectural inspirations in her designs and integrating traditional components into her modern quilts. Her work explores the formal possibilities of color and shape, often through geometric and striped compositions. Her work has been exhibited widely at venues such as the Taft Museum of Art and the New England Quilt Museum and featured in numerous books, magazines, and online publications. Heather’s first book, Quilt Local: Finding Inspiration in the Everyday was released in 2015.
