STLMQG Quilt Show 2019: This Is Modern

St. Louis Modern Quilt Guild presented
THIS IS MODERN
a quilt show
July 20-21, 2019
==============================================================

Congratulations to the guild for putting on our second quilt show this past weekend! The show was the culmination of months of hard work by our members and the Quilt Show Committee. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers, quilters, and the Quilt Show Committee who made it happen.
The show was a great success, as we welcomed almost 720 visitors to the show (not including our fabulous members)! We loved seeing everyone wandering up and down the aisles, excited and inspired by what they were seeing.

This year, we had our Saturday attendees vote on their favorite quilts in each category. The votes were tallied Saturday night so the ribbons could be on display on Sunday. Congratulations to our winners! (Note: some categories were combined due to the small number of quilts in them. The winners are listed in order of first, second, and third.)

The second raffle had a number of winners:
  • Vintage Singer Rocketeer Sewing Machine and Mid-Century Modern Cabinet – Terry Kessinger (member)
  • Weekend retreat at the Memory Make Inn in Lebanon, IL – Cindi Templin (member)
  • Jackman's Fabrics gift cards – Karen Mickes, Amy Suiter (member), Denise Bell, and Marianne Belcke (member)
Thank you to everyone who supported our show through attendance, raffles, social media, or word of mouth. We can't sufficiently express how much we appreciate it!

You can see more photos of the show at our Instagram hashtags #stlmqg, #stlmqgquiltshow, and #stlmqgthisismodern. Our next show will be in 2021, but we hope you'll join us for a meeting well before then! Each one is packed with fun and educational activities.
